How is my wearable health information used?

Your privacy is very important. When you connect your wearable app or device to your League account, we ask you to share the category of health information we need access to:

  • For Apple Health: We ask you to share all categories of data, but you can choose which data categories you want to track in your metrics or use to automatically complete activities in a connected Health Program.

  • For Google Fit: We ask you to share all the categories of data, but you can choose which data categories you want to track in your metrics or use to automatically complete activities in a connected program.

  • For Fitbit: We ask you to share all your Fitbit data, but you only need to share your profile, Fitbit devices and settings, and the data point you want to track in your metrics or use to automatically complete activities in a connected program. For example, if you’re enrolling in a connected program with activities that track your steps, you only need to share your profile, Fitbit devices and settings, and activity and exercise data.

  • For Garmin: We ask you to share your activity and health data. For connected programs, you only need to share your activity data.

  • For Polar: We ask you to share your profile, training, and other data, but we’ll only access your activity data.

  • For Withings: We ask you to share your user, metrics, activity and sleep data, but we’ll only access your activity data.

We use this information to:

  • Track your progress in any Health Journey activities that use your wearables data. For example, if there’s an activity with a goal of walking 10,000 steps, we’ll check your steps data to see how close you are to completing the goal.

  • Automatically complete any activities that use your wearables data when you meet the goal set by the activity, and award you any eligible rewards points.

  • Send push notifications to your phone notifying you when you’re close to reaching the goal for an activity that uses your wearables data, or when you complete the activity.

  • Track your data in your metrics to help you understand and interpret your health data.

You can manage the wearable information you share with your League account anytime. Please note, League doesn’t sell or share your Information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Read our full privacy policy for more detailed information about how League uses personal information.
