You can remove an employee from your League policy be right in the Admin Portal! Once you're in the "Employees" tab shown in the left sidebar, find the employee you wish to terminate, click the ellipses under the "Action" column, and click either "Terminate" or "Suspend".
The "Terminate" option allows you to permanently remove your employee from your plan, while the "Suspend" option puts the employee in a temporary, inactive state. The "Terminate" function should be used when an employee is leaving the company or has been let go, but the "Suspend" function can be used in cases where an employee is on extended leave or is otherwise expected to return to work.
There are two timing options for removal:
- Immediate removal. In the popup box shown below, you can click "Terminate Employee" or "Suspend Employee" to remove them from your group immediately. This will end their benefits coverage right away.
- Schedule the removal for a later date. In the popup box shown below, you can click the checkbox to schedule the employee's removal for a future date. This is useful when the employee has given resignation notice in advance, or if you've negotiated extended coverage for the employee after they've left the company.
If your employee has spending account coverage with League, they'll have a 60-day grace period to submit any outstanding claims against their remaining spending account balance. These expenses must have been incurred while their coverage was active, and the grace period begins on their date of termination.
